Người có trái tim nhân ái rông lớn, cựu Đô đốc Lawrence Chambers, năm 1975 là Thuyền trưởng HKMH USS Midway. Ông đã quyết định đẩy nhiều trực thăng, máy bay xuống biển, dù có thể bị phạt rất nặng vì vi phạm quân kỷ , để cứu các phi công VNCH và nhiều người
