One in many

One in many maps which proves China does not have any rights regarding the Paracels and Spratly islands. Many old maps in Chinese language--not falsely fabricated in recent 10 years or so-- do not have those islands in them
Obviously, the 9-dash-line claim of China is a product of imagination and "force claim" about water territory and Spratly, Paracels islands. Pretty clearly, the Paracels islands were meant to associate , much-likely administratively, with old-days Vietnam kingdom ( the Empire d' Annam)
See sheets 106 and 98 of the Atlas Universel by Philippe Vandermaelen, published in Bruxelles by 1827, from the Library of Princeton University
