Cống Hiến

                 Cống Hiến Lớn của Friedrich Nietzsche

Sinh ra trong một gia đình đạo giòng; cha ông nhiều đời là mục sư phái Lutheran ở nước Đức, nhưng khi trưởng thành thấy ra các giáo điều trong niềm tin Cơ đốc giáo là sai, ông là người đã thốt lên :

                             “ Thượng đế đã chết”

ở nhiều chỗ trong các tác phẩm như The Gay Science, Thus Spake Zarathustra

Vì Sự thật, vì những khám phá trong triết học, trong sự hiểu biết của mình— giữa lòng Âu châu Kitô giáo mười mấy thế kỷ — ông đã dám thốt lên lời như thế, và tuyên bố mình là kẻ Chống –Kitô ( the Anti-Christ),  can đảm nhận chịu búa rìu từ giảng đường đại học đến đời sống. Để triệt đường sống của Nietzsche, người ta đã cấm ông giảng dạy tại tất cả các đại học (1), mặc dù ông là một giáo sư  xuất sắc, ít ra là ở môn Philology ( Cổ Ngữ học)

Có thể thấy qua những gì ông viết, ông như muốn bảo với các giáo sĩ, linh mục, mục sư, học giả, trí thức Kitô giáo rằng :

Thôi, đừng tự dối mình nữa, các ông ạ. Đừng bóp nghẹt ước mơ, giam cầm Ý chí tự do của người và của chính mình; chận đường , công hãm nó . Đừng giết chết tố chất Dionysus trong con người nó, hãy để nó tự phát triển , đừng lấy kinh thánh của các ông đè nó xuống, đánh đập, cầm tù, thui chột ý chí nó.

                             Thượng đế đã chết

Đừng dìm ước muốn, cao vọng, mộng ước của nó, hãy để nó leo núi trập trùng, và bay cùng gió, vân vũ cùng mây đến những phương trời vô tận.

Và với tiến triển, biến chuyển của thời đại, chính niềm tin của các ông cũng đã nhợt nhạt, đổi thay.

Với sự có mặt của Khoa học, từ Copernicus, Galileo, qua Newton, Kepler, Leibniz, Faraday, rồi J. C. Maxwell, Boltzman v.v. ( TN)

 Đoạn văn chấn động mà đầy xúc cảm “dữ dội”, rung động dưới đây, đối với nhiều người, là một trong những đoạn văn tuyệt vời nhất từ thế kỷ 19 đến nay trong Triết học phương Tây.

And we have killed him. How shall we, murderers of all murderers, console ourselves? That which was the holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet possessed has bled to death under our knives. Who will wipe this blood off us? With what water could we purify ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we need to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we not ourselves become gods simply to be worthy of it? There has never been a greater deed; and whosoever shall be born after us - for the sake of this deed he shall be part of a higher history than all history hitherto."

1. In 1883 he tried and failed to obtain a lecturing post at the University of Leipzig. It was made clear to him that, in view of his attitude towards Christianity and his concept of God, he had become effectively unemployable by any German university.

Many Protestant reformers, including Martin Luther, John Calvin, Thomas Cranmer, John Thomas, John Knox, and Cotton Mather, identified the Roman Papacy as the Antichrist.^[38] They held that the Antichrist power would be revealed so that everyone would comprehend and recognize that the Pope is the real, true Antichrist and not the vicar of Christ. The Centuriators of Magdeburg, a group of Lutheran scholars in Magdeburg headed by Matthias Flacius, wrote the 12-volume "Magdeburg Centuries" to discredit the papacy and identify the pope as the Antichrist. The fifth round of talks in the Lutheran–Roman Catholic dialogue notes,

In calling the pope the "antichrist," the early Lutherans stood in a tradition that reached back into the eleventh century. Not only dissidents and heretics but even saints had called the bishop of Rome the "antichrist" when they wished to castigate his abuse of power.^[39]

The Pope as the antichrist was so ingrained in the Reformation era, that Luther stated it repeatedly. For example:

"This teaching [of the supremacy of the pope] shows forcefully that the Pope is the very Antichrist, who has exalted himself above, and opposed himself against Christ, because he will not permit Christians to be saved without his power, which, nevertheless, is nothing, and is neither ordained nor commanded by God”.^[40]

bên cạnh sự mất niềm tin về những điều trong giáo lý—  một kẻ có học đủ khả năng suy luận vừa đủ thôi cuối thế kỷ 19 đã có thể thấy các điều do khoa học khám phá chỉ riêng thời ấy thôi đã có thể làm đổ nhào hoàn toàn về các niềm tin trong tín lý Kitô giáo.

"...His plain aim in “The Antichrist” was to combat that menace by completing the work begun, on the one hand, by Darwin and the other evolutionist philosophers, and, on the other hand, by German historians and philologians. The net effect of this earlier attack, in the eighties, had been the collapse of Christian theology as a serious concern of educated men. The mob, it must be obvious, was very little shaken; even to this day it has not put off its belief in the essential Christian doctrines. But the intelligentsia, by 1885, had been pretty well convinced. No man of sound information, at the time Nietzsche planned “The Antichrist,” actually believed that the world was created in seven days, or that its fauna was once overwhelmed by a flood as a penalty for the sins of man, or that Noah saved the boa constrictor, the prairie dog and the pediculus capitis by taking a pair of each into the ark, or that Lot’s wife was turned into a pillar of salt, or that a fragment of the True Cross could cure hydrophobia. Such notions, still almost universally prevalent in Christendom a century before, were now confined to the great body of ignorant and credulous men— that is, to ninety-five or ninety-six percent of the race.
