The magazine New Republic published again this “manifesto” by the literary journalist Rebecca West, at the age of 22, to commemorate its 100th anniversary. In it she only offered her opinion on a way to rejuvenate and plant a more daring, more operation-knife attitude for English literature at the time. Our criticism for the politico-socio-cultural ills of our Fatherland of Vietnam, now, should carry a lot more detonating-to-reconstruct effects than this.
